These Terms and Conditions govern all services provided by Yvonne Midolo Makeup Artist Services (“we,” “us,” or “I”), including makeup application, makeup tuition, and gift card purchases, as well as your interactions with us as a client. By booking or purchasing, you agree to these terms.
These terms apply to all clients in Malta and are governed by Maltese law within EU jurisdiction.
I reserve the right to update these terms, with changes effective upon posting on yvonnemidolo.com. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance.

Makeup Application: Professional makeup services (face, with or without lashes) for events, photoshoots, or personal use, provided at agreed locations in Malta.
Makeup Tuition: One-on-one lessons covering techniques, products, and application, delivered in-person or online (if applicable).
Services are subject to availability and may be customized based on consultation. I reserve the right to refuse service for lawful reasons (e.g., safety, inappropriate behavior).

To secure a booking, a non-refundable deposit of 10% of the total service fee is required at the time of booking, payable via Stripe (online card payments), Revolut (manual payments), or bank transfer.
Deposits confirm your slot and cover preparation costs. Failure to pay within 48 hours of booking confirmation may result in cancellation.
Rescheduling requires 48 hours’ notice; otherwise, the deposit is forfeited. Cancellations within 24 hours incur the full service fee if I cannot rebook the slot.
Booking is essential and subject to availability. For gift card redemptions, please quote the voucher number when booking.

The remaining balance (90% of the total fee) is due immediately after service completion, payable via SumUp (in-person card payments), Stripe (online card payments), Revolut (manual payments), or cash.
If a gift card is used and the service cost exceeds its value, the remaining balance must be paid by the client.
Late payments incur a 5% fee per week, up to 30 days, after which I may pursue legal action under Maltese law.
Prices are in Euros (€) and include VAT where applicable, per Maltese tax regulations.

Gift cards are available for purchase on yvonnemidolo.com via GiftUp, with payments processed through Stripe. They may be either monetary denominations (e.g., €25, €50, €100, or custom amounts) or service-bound (e.g., 1x makeup session, 5x tuition sessions), as stated on the card.
Services: Valid for use towards makeup application (face, with or without lashes) and/or 1:1 makeup tuition services provided by me, Yvonne Midolo.
Redemption: Can be used multiple times until the monetary balance is fully consumed or all service sessions are redeemed, whichever applies. For monetary cards, the value offsets service costs; for service-bound cards, each session deducts one whole session (e.g., a card with 5 makeup sessions reduces to 4 after 1 session is booked). If the service cost exceeds the remaining balance or no sessions remain, the cardholder must pay the difference.
Expiry: Expires 12 months from the date of purchase unless otherwise stated on the card. All redemptions must occur within this period, or the remaining balance/sessions are forfeited.
Non-Refundable: Gift cards are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged for cash.
Lost or Stolen: I am not responsible for lost or stolen gift cards; they will not be replaced or refunded.

By Me: I may take photos of my makeup work for portfolio, marketing, or social media use. You’ll be informed beforehand, and identifiable images require your consent. You may revoke consent later, but previously published content remains unaffected.
By Clients: You may take photos of your makeup for personal use. Commercial use (e.g., resale, advertising) requires my written permission. All images remain my intellectual property under Maltese copyright law.

Client cancellations with over 48 hours’ notice forfeit the deposit but incur no further charge. Within 48 hours, 50% of the total fee is due; within 24 hours, 100% is due unless I rebook the slot.
I may cancel due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g., illness, emergencies), offering a full refund of deposits or rescheduling at no cost.
No refunds are issued for completed services unless I fail to deliver as agreed (e.g., no-show), per Maltese consumer law.
Gift card purchases are final and non-refundable, as stated in Section 5.

I am not liable for allergic reactions to products; clients must disclose allergies during consultation. Patch tests are available upon request.
I am not responsible for damage to clothing, property, or injuries unless caused by my negligence, as per Maltese tort law.
My liability is limited to the service fee paid, excluding consequential damages.

These terms are governed by Maltese law within EU jurisdiction. Disputes will be resolved through negotiation or, if necessary, the Malta Arbitration Centre or Maltese courts.
